Job Title: Security Engineer II Location- Tampa or Dallas 6 Month Contract to Hire Seeking a skilled Information Security Engineer to design, implement, and maintain robust security systems that protect our organizations systems. This role involves assessing vulnerabilities, managing threat detection tools, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. The ideal candidate will have experience with firewalls, intrusion detection systems, SIEM platforms, and cloud security frameworks. Youll collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security best practices into infrastructure and application design, respond to incidents, and continuously improve our security posture. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset are essential for success in this role. Role Requirements: • Junior to mid-level Information Security Engineer • Hands-on role with responsibility for building and managing security detections Key skills we're seeking include: • Cloud infrastructure (Azure strongly preferred) • Azure Sentinel (most critical skill) • Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) • Python programming • Familiarity with databases (for log reliability) • Bonus: blockchain technology knowledge This role will involve collaborating closely with IT and development teams to integrate security best practices, improve detection and monitoring capabilities, and strengthen overall security posture.
