Position: Azure/API Solution Architect Location: US Remote (Preferred Hartford, CT) Duration: Long-term Industry Vertical: Healthcare Experience: 10+ Years Overall Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Azure/API Solution Architect to lead the design and integration of complex, enterprise-grade solutions within a healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in API-first architectures, cloud platforms (primarily Azure), modern development frameworks, and systems integration. This role demands excellent collaboration, communication, and leadership skills to work with diverse stakeholders in an Agile setting. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Development Leads to analyze requirements and deliver robust solution designs. Partner with Solution Domain Leads and Integration Architects to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards and cross-domain impacts. Develop solution artifacts (e.g., sketches, presentations) to communicate architectural approaches. Present and validate solution designs with stakeholders, including infrastructure SMEs and business teams. Leverage and contribute to architecture patterns and best practices for cloud-native solutions, APIs, and integrations. Provide technical leadership to Agile teams, supporting modern software development practices including CI/CD and DevOps. Continuously refine subject matter expertise in both business processes and technical systems. Required Skills: 10+ years of experience designing and developing complex, integrated enterprise systems Strong expertise in API-first enterprise architectures Hands-on experience with Azure Cloud (compute), Google Cloud Platform (big data), and some AWS (digital experience) Proficiency in Salesforce Service Cloud for user experience Solid experience with modern languages/frameworks (Java, JavaScript, Node.js) and messaging queuing infrastructures Familiarity with distributed computing architectures, including concurrency, race conditions, and parallelism Adept at systems integration and requirements analysis Familiarity with popular Design Patterns Experience working in Agile teams and facilitating meetings with stakeholders Excellent verbal and written communication, collaboration, and consensus-building skills Ability to manage competing priorities with minimal supervision Desired Skills: Proven track record delivering large, complex systems as part of a team Architectural experience with cloud-native solutions and Azure PaaS offerings RDBMS and NoSQL database experience (e.g., MongoDB) Familiarity with Gen AI (RAG frameworks, Vector DB searches) and/or Conversational AI (IBM WatsonX, Google Dialog Flow) Experience designing developer-friendly REST APIs and distributed caching solutions Knowledge of SAFe Software Development Principles Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices Seniority level Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Employment type Full-time Job function Job function Engineering and Information Technology Industries Software Development Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Jobs via Dice by 2x Get notified about new Solutions Architect jobs in Hartford, CT .
