It is 3 days on site, 2 days remote. We are seeking an experienced Senior Windows Engineer with extensive expertise in Windows Server migrations. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and executing large-scale migrations of Windows-based systems, including upgrades, platform transitions, and cloud integrations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth, efficient, and secure migrations while minimizing downtime and disruptions. Your deep knowledge of Windows infrastructure, virtualization technologies, and enterprise-level deployment strategies will be critical in optimizing system performance and ensuring the successful transition of services to new environments. Key Responsibilities • Lead and manage the migration of Windows Server environments, including on-premises to cloud, hybrid, and cross-platform transitions. • Provide expert-level guidance on migration best practices, tools, and methodologies. • Plan, design, and execute complex migrations while minimizing risk and ensuring operational continuity. • Troubleshoot and resolve migration-related issues, providing post-migration support as needed. • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand technical requirements and ensure alignment with business goals. • Mentor and train junior engineers on migration processes and Windows server technologies. • Document migration processes, plans, and outcomes for future reference and audits. Qualifications • Proven experience in Windows Server migrations (on-prem to cloud, cross-platform). • Strong knowledge of Windows Server environments, Active Directory, PowerShell scripting, and virtualization technologies. • Experience with tools such as Azure Migrate, VMware, or similar migration tools. • Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and provide timely resolutions. • Excellent communication and project management skills. • Strong problem-solving abilities and a detail-oriented approach.
