Job Title: Senior MS SQL Developer (Memsql) Location: Tampa, FL (Hybrid – 2 days onsite per week) Duration: 6+ Months (Contract) 10+ yrs experience needed Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled Senior MS SQL Developer to join our dynamic team in Tampa, FL. This role requires expertise in SQL Server development and experience with distributed, high-performance databases like MemSQL (SingleStore). The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a hybrid environment and will bring strong database development, optimization, and data integration experience. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain complex SQL Server database solutions, including stored procedures, views, functions, and indexing strategies. • Work with MemSQL/SingleStore for real-time data ingestion and querying. • Optimize database performance, including troubleshooting bottlenecks and query tuning. • Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and application developers to understand requirements and deliver scalable solutions. • Implement data transformation and migration processes using ETL tools and scripting. • Ensure database security, integrity, and compliance with enterprise standards. • Perform code reviews and contribute to best practices in SQL development and database design. Required Skills • 10+ years of experience in MS SQL Server development • Hands-on experience with MemSQL (SingleStore) or other distributed SQL databases • Strong proficiency in T-SQL, performance tuning, and query optimization • Experience in ETL development using tools like SSIS or custom scripting (Python, PowerShell, etc.) • Understanding of database architecture, indexing, partitioning, and data modeling • Familiarity with real-time data processing and streaming architectures • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) is a plus • Good communication and collaboration skills Preferred Skills • Knowledge of NoSQL and Big Data technologies • Experience with CI/CD for database deployments • Exposure to Power BI or other reporting tools • Agile development experience
