Salary Range $28.28-$36.07 Job Posting End Date - Applications will no longer be accepted starting 09-13-2025 Salary Job Summary System Administrator I: $28.28-$36.065 System Administrator II: $28.90-38.295 System Administrator III: $31.51-41.745 Performs professional, administrative, and technical work related to designing, building, implementing, and maintaining system platforms. These platforms include physical servers, server virtualization systems, and Storage Area Networks (SAN). Responsible for the maintenance of physical and virtual server systems, which may include assessing performance, completing regular maintenance, diagnosing issues, and repairing problems. The incumbent is also responsible for system backup and restore operations, as well as routine patching. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Network Support Manager and is subject to periodic review and evaluation. Minimum Qualifications System Administrator I: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field and two (2) years technical experience in IT, network management, and system administration; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Experience with Microsoft Active Directory (AD), storage area networks (SAN), server virtualization platforms, backup and restore solutions, Microsoft Server, Linux Server, and server patching desired. System Administrator II: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field and four (4) years of technical experience in IT, network management, and system administration; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with Microsoft Active Directory (AD), storage area networks (SAN), server virtualization platforms, backup and restore solutions, Microsoft Server, Linux Server, and server patching desired. System Administrator III: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field and six (6) years technical experience in IT, network management, and system administration; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Experience with Microsoft Active Directory (AD), storage area networks (SAN), server virtualization platforms, backup and restore solutions, Microsoft Server, Linux Server, and server patching required. The preferred candidate will have extensive knowledge and(or) certifications in Microsoft, VMware, block-level and file-level storage solutions, Cisco Unified Computing Systems (UCS), monitoring, alerting, patching, service management processes, configuration management, and Cloud IaaS solutions. Deep technical knowledge of backup and disaster recovery solutions is preferred. Experience in implementing, maintaining and troubleshooting the following is desired: • vSphere v7 or better • MS Active Directory (Windows Server 2016 or better) • Cisco Unified Computing System (UCS) • Enterprise storage including iSCSI experience • Modern enterprise level backup solution • Identify and Access Management Other Desirable Experience • Other (non-vSphere) hypervisor experience • VMWare Site Recovery Manager • VMWare Aria (vRealize) • Disaster Recovery / Business Continuity • AWS/Azure cloud experience (storage and/or compute) Additional Qualifications For Promotion Promotions are not to be considered an automatic function of longevity and are subject to the review and authorization of the Supervisor.
