Description The Dallas YMCA is currently seeking a passionate self-starter to fill our Business Services Coordinator - Membership and Programs role. This position works directly with our branches and programs, supporting them by performing business functions for an exceptional membership and program experience. This position offices out of our Association Office in Coppell, Texas. The Dallas YMCA is the 12th largest YMCA in North America and serves over 250,000 people annually through programs such as teen outreach, aquatics, youth sports, childcare and health and wellness. These programs are administered in our 16 branches and 2 resident camps across the metroplex. General Function The role provides exceptional customer service, good judgement and is someone who takes initiative. This role works with 2-3 assigned branches and/or programs to retain members, increase satisfaction, support smooth financial transactions, and helps answer questions about our POS system. Building relationships is a key skill needed to work with staff at branches, members of our YMCA and the department teams. Essential Functions • Provides excellent customer service to branch staff, members, and program participants via phone and/or email. • Billing-Draft management, credit card updates and corrections, bank account updates and draft returns. • Account management; proactively updates expiring methods of payment, update account information as requested, update hold dates for accuracy, process refunds, and review membership accounts for accuracy. • Works with Membership and Program Directors to set up program products in our POS system. • Continually enhances knowledge of membership operations, POS system and YMCA standards to achieve departmental success and professional growth. • Assists with other projects as needed and able to work towards common goals and objectives in a team-centered environment. Requirements • Minimum one year of customer service experience. • Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal and problem-solving skills. • Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of clientele and team members. • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment. • Knowledge and skills in Microsoft Word, SharePoint, Outlook, and Excel. • Able to be well organized and have strong attention to detail. Pay Rate Starts at $16.00 per hour, 40 hours per week. This position is 8:00am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday. This position is in office at the Coppell YMCA.
