Our client, a leading technology firm, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Information Security Architect specializing in Cloud Security to join their dedicated security team. This is a fully remote position, offering the opportunity to design and implement robust security solutions for complex cloud environments from anywhere. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of cloud security best practices, threat modeling, risk assessment, and security architecture design across major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). You will be responsible for developing and executing cloud security strategies, defining security controls, and ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of cloud-based assets and data. Your responsibilities will include designing secure cloud infrastructure, implementing security automation, and establishing security monitoring and incident response capabilities for cloud services. You will also guide development and operations teams on secure coding practices and cloud security compliance. A critical aspect of this role is conducting security reviews of cloud architectures, identifying vulnerabilities, and recommending remediation strategies. You will stay abreast of the evolving threat landscape, emerging cloud technologies, and regulatory requirements impacting cloud security. The Senior Information Security Architect will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security seamlessly into the software development lifecycle and cloud deployment processes. Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential for success in this demanding role. You will play a vital role in protecting our client's digital assets and maintaining trust in their cloud services. Responsibilities: Design, build, and maintain secure cloud infrastructure and architectures. Develop and implement cloud security policies, standards, and procedures. Conduct security assessments and penetration testing of cloud environments. Implement security controls and configurations across AWS, Azure, and GCP. Develop and manage security monitoring, logging, and incident response capabilities for cloud services. Provide security guidance and expertise to development and operations teams. Perform threat modeling and risk assessments for cloud applications and services. Automate security tasks and workflows within the cloud environment. Ensure compliance with relevant security regulations and standards. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in information security, with a strong focus on cloud security architecture. Deep expertise in security principles for AWS, Azure, and/or GCP. Proven experience with security tools and technologies such as WAF, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and endpoint security. Strong understanding of network security, cryptography, identity and access management (IAM), and data protection. Experience with container security and orchestration platforms (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCSP, AWS Security Specialty) are highly desirable.
