Azure Network Engineer (Contract-to-Hire) Location: Remote (must work PST hours) Overview We're looking for a seasoned Azure Network Engineer with strong Cisco and core networking expertise to support and enhance a hybrid on-premise and cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in data center networking, Azure networking services, and automation/scripting. Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and support Azure network infrastructure (VNETs, VPNs, ExpressRoute, NSGs, etc.) Manage and troubleshoot Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls Configure and maintain F5 load balancers (LTM, GTM, ASM) Support hybrid connectivity between data centers and Azure Monitor, optimize, and secure network performance Automate network tasks using PowerShell, Python, or Azure CLI Collaborate with security and infrastructure teams to ensure compliance and reliability Create and maintain network documentation and procedures Required Skills 10+ years of enterprise-level network engineering experience Strong Cisco networking expertise (switching, routing, VPN, firewalls) Cisco certifications preferred (CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent) Hands-on experience with Azure networking (ExpressRoute, Load Balancer, Application Gateway, VNET Peering) F5 configuration and management experience Solid understanding of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, DNS, and DHCP Experience with network automation/scripting (PowerShell, Python, Azure CLI) Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a remote, collaborative team Nice To Have Experience with Azure Firewall Manager, Network Watcher, or Virtual WAN Familiarity with Terraform, Ansible, or other IaC tools Exposure to cloud migration or Zero Trust network design
