Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Junior Data Analyst to join their team for a remote internship opportunity based in St. Louis, Missouri, US , although this position is fully remote and not tied to a physical office location. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about data and eager to develop their analytical skills in a professional setting. You will work closely with experienced data professionals to collect, clean, analyze, and interpret data sets, contributing to important business decisions. This internship offers invaluable hands-on experience in data manipulation, visualization, and reporting. Key responsibilities will include: Assisting senior analysts in collecting and organizing data from various sources. Performing data cleaning and preprocessing tasks to ensure data accuracy and consistency. Conducting preliminary data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies. Creating basic data visualizations and reports to communicate findings. Supporting the development and maintenance of databases and data systems. Learning and applying statistical methods and analytical techniques. Collaborating with team members on data-related projects. Documenting data processes and methodologies. Assisting in the preparation of presentations based on data analysis. Seeking opportunities to learn new tools and techniques in data analytics. Qualifications: Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related quantitative field. Foundational knowledge of statistical concepts and data analysis principles. Familiarity with spreadsheet software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets), including basic formulas and data manipulation. Exposure to programming languages commonly used in data analysis (e.g., Python, R) is a plus. Basic understanding of SQL is advantageous. Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy. Good problem-solving skills and analytical thinking. Effective written and verbal communication skills, particularly for explaining technical concepts.
