Data Analytics & BI Sr Analyst Greater Columbus, OH area A Global OEM Manufacturer is looking for a Data Analytics & BI Sr Analyst to join their team. Company offers: Position Summary Market Information Unit’s mission is to identify and resolve field quality problems quickly to ensure customer satisfaction and maintain quality competitiveness. Our Data Engineers review multiple data sources to evaluate, summarize and draw conclusions to identify trends that lead to countermeasure activity. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES · Use engineering fundamentals to identify problems through various data sources (Warranty, Telematics, Customer Relations, NHTSA, Surveys, etc.) - 30% · Look for data trends not previously identified through deep understanding of the data - 20% · Support cleaning data to ensure proper classification of market problems - 15% · Transform data using SQL, Python, etc to identify trends that lead to actionable problems and defend analysis to promote for countermeasure activity - 15% · Generate groupings to support identification and classification of market problems - 10% · Utilize modelling, statistics, and trend analysis to forecast future failure rates for known problems - 10% · Complete multiple investigations monthly through deep analysis of data related to market problems identified as exceeding quality triggers. · Finding problems worthy of a full market investigation · Completing investigations and achieving consensus with MQ on next steps. Job Requirements · BS in Engineering, Data analytics, Mathematics, Economics or Computer Science, with strong engineering aptitude or equivalent experience · Minimum of 5 years in data analytics or information analysis · Strong problem-solving skills to ensure data is correct and defend your data analysis to guarantee the responsible areas accept the results. · Strong communication skills (written, verbal and visual) to ensure your analysis is clearly understood. · Excellent attention to detail and proficient using query languages such as SQL. · Experienced in Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.) · Prioritization skills to manage workload and make sound decisions · Experience with common data science toolkits such as R, Python & NumPy · Knowledge of data gathering, cleaning, and transforming techniques · Business intelligence (Qlikview, Qlik Sense, Power BI) programming (desired) · Applied statistics skills such as distributions, statistical testing, regression, etc. (desired) About CTI: Compass Tech International (CTI) is dedicated to providing the highest quality Staffing, Recruiting and Managed Services to our customers nationwide, to create greater efficiencies, better results and effective communications to improve their talent access and worker effectiveness while finding solutions for workflow and process improvement.
