A day in the life This role involves a mix of responsibilities across the lifecycle of a security feature set. You will take a use case from proposal to success measurement, prototype implementation, and production delivery in collaboration with product managers, UX designers, software engineers, and other security engineers. About the team You will join a small, strong team focused on ensuring our customer security teams get value from our security services. We work autonomously while collaborating closely with each other and the wider service teams. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent • 3+ years of programming experience in Python, Ruby, Go, Swift, Java, .NET, C++, or similar object-oriented languages • Knowledge of networking protocols such as HTTP, DNS, and TCP/IP • Knowledge of up-to-date cloud risk scenarios and attack vectors PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS • Experience with AWS products and services • Experience applying threat modeling or other risk identification techniques • Familiarity with AWS services and environments, including knowledge of existing AWS log sources • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and threats across other providers such as Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) • Knowledge of the Open Cybersecurity Schema Framework (OCSF) • Deep knowledge of security data use cases, SIEM, XDR, and SOAR solutions • Excellent written and oral communication skills Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $212,800/year in our highest geographic market.
