We are looking for a Linux Systems Administrator to support our Engineering organization’s goals to meet the current and future needs of the programs and technologies within the sector portfolio. This role will help foster the establishment and maintenance of a world class Software and Digital Technologies organization in Albuquerque, NM. Responsibilities: • Perform as a Linux System Administrator for a classified network • Manage and maintain secure, minimally interrupted operations of Linux servers and workstations • Install, harden, and patch Linux operating systems • Develop presentations and recommendations • Occasional travel to customer or other Northrop Grumman sites in support of troubleshooting, testing, and deployment activities • Collaborate with peer systems administrators, network administrators, security teams, and software and hardware engineers • Lift equipment weighing up to 40 pounds • Work after hours and weekends as needed Basic Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of experience OR Master's degree and 1 year of experience; experience can be considered in lieu of degree • IAM Level I certification (e.g., Security+ CE) or greater or ability to obtain within 3 months of start date • Must have an Active Top Secret DoD Clearance and maintain it • Ability to be cleared to Special Access Programs • Experience managing Linux OS in a domain architecture • Experience with designing Linux domain architectures, including Active Directory, GPOs, Policies, and permissions Preferred Qualifications: • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in an IS-related field • Active DoD Top Secret clearance • Experience operating within NISPOM Chapter 8, DCID 6/3-ICD 503, RMF, STIG, JAFAN, or JSIG environments • Familiarity with Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy Management, MS SQL, and WSUS • Experience with Servers and storage hardware installation and maintenance • Solid understanding of remediating security vulnerabilities; experience hardening Linux and Redhat systems per RMF and STIGs • VMware and ESXi (6.x or higher) configuration and management experience • Experience working with Cisco switches and basic LAN/WAN networking, VDI • Linux administration, GPOs, Active Directory management experience • Strong writing skills and experience with SharePoint documentation • DoD 8570/8140 Certification in a primary OS (Linux, Cisco) Salary Range: $70,200.00 - $ The above salary range is a guideline; actual offers depend on various factors including experience, education, skills, and market conditions.
