The Position The Senior Power BI developer will work with the Corporate IT team to maintain and develop our Analytics platform. The ideal candidate will need to understand business and technical requirements and translate this into data integration designs and deliverables by working with the Corporate Data Architect. The position requires experience in creating data-rich dashboards, writing DAX expressions, and implementing row-level security in Power BI. Able to develop custom BI products that require knowledge of scripting languages and programming languages like R and Python. Ability to convert data into stories that help establish data-driven decision-making across the organization. This position can be based out of any of our Arch offices as well as be 100% remote. Job Responsibilities Design, develop, update and optimize Power BI dashboards, reports and scorecards to meet business requirements Design, publish and maintain Power BI data models with many interrelated tables connected Document business requirements and solutions while providing support for creation of end user documentation Work with internal customers to formulate the requirements for their analytical problems and provide them with implementation support Fluidly integrate existing sources with Power BI Efficiently handle large sets of data and be able to confidently process them into required formats. Excellent analytical thinking for translating data into informative visuals and reports Able to implement row level security on data and have an understanding of application security layer models in Power BI Analytical thinking for translating data into informative reports and visuals Capable of implementing row-level security on data along with an understanding of application security layer models in Power BI Should have an edge over making DAX queries in Power BI desktop Expert in using advanced-level calculations on the data set Responsible for design methodology and project documentaries Should be able to develop tabular and multidimensional models that are compatible with data warehouse standards Very good communication skills must be able to discuss the requirements effectively with the client teams, and with internal teams Required Skills/Experience Experience with BI tools and systems such as Power BI, Tableau, and SAP Must have 2-3 years of experience in data-specific roles Knowledge in Microsoft BI Stack Grip over data analytics Should possess software development skills Strong SQL ability Should have knowledge and experience in prototyping, designing, and requirement analysis Ability to work independently on your assigned work in a fast-paced environment where deadlines are often tight Education Bachelor's degree in a computer-related field The Company Arch Capital Group Ltd. is a Bermuda-based company which provides insurance, reinsurance and mortgage insurance on a worldwide basis.
