AP Professionals has partnered with a local, family owned, MSP that is growing and looking to add a Senior Systems Engineer/Administrator to their local Rochester team. In this role, as the Senior Systems Engineer you will work directly with business owners to design and implement high-tech products and solutions for local businesses. Serve as both a consultant to decision making, and a technical resource in implementation. 7-10 years of experience within Windows, SQL, Linux, and more is required. Prior MSP experience a plus! This is a full-time, direct hire position with an onsite requirement at a centrally located Rochester, NY office. This position offers opportunities for bonuses, continued advancement, and certifications!RESPONSIBILITIESDesign, engineering, and manage technical projects, including implementation, oversight, and tier three infrastructure supportNetwork, server, and cybersecurity/security solutions installation and supportDeployment and maintenance of cloud solutions, such as AWS, Google, and MSO365/AzureSetup and support of UTM devices, routers, and switchesOngoing management of backup and disaster recovery, antivirus, and system patching for various clientsEXPERIENCE7 years of experience servicing commercial environments such as Windows Domains, Windows Servers, SQL, Exchange, MAC, and Linux7 years of experience with one or more cloud solutions such as Azure, AWS, or Google7 years of experience with firewalls, routing, UTM devices, and VPNsExperience with Kaseya, Autotask, ITGlue, and other MSP tools is a plusExperience with MAC and Linux is a plusPrior experience working within an MSP desiredKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER CHARACTERISTICSAutomation and scripting a plusStrong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills requiredInterest in cybersecurity and IT securityEnjoys challenges, and excels at solving puzzlesCertifications are strong desired!
