Position Summary The Systems Administrator I monitors and provides technical support for basic incoming issues related to computer systems, networks, software, and hardware. Utilizing diagnostic tools and fundamental troubleshooting skills, the individual will be responsible for resolving simple issues and escalating more complex matters to senior staff. Responsibilities: · Monitor and respond to Help Desk requests via phone, email, or ticketing system. · Communicate clearly and effectively with customers about technical issues. · Troubleshoot and resolve basic computer hardware and software issues. · Assist in performing routine software upgrades and backups. · Set up and maintain workstations, ensuring optimal system performance. · Escalate recurring or complex issues to higher-level support when necessary. · Assist with day-to-day projects as needed. · OnCall duties as required to support critical customer systems. · Other duties as assigned. Experience: · Familiarity with basic networking, including switches, VPNs, and wireless technology. · Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, Azure, and Remote Desktop Services. · Basic understanding of backup software, system management, and security protocols. · Entry-level understanding of SonicWall, Ubiquiti, and Cisco products. · Basic familiarity with VOIP systems. Education and Training: · High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred. · At least 2+ year of IT-related experience. · Entry-level IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Fundamentals) are required.
