About the role of Cloud Technical Architect Our client is extending its Cloud Center of Excellence team and seeks an experienced Cloud Technical Solution Architect to join the team. In this position, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and documenting cutting-edge Cloud solutions utilizing services available in AWS, Azure, and GCP as well as required third-party components. You will also engage deeply with peer teams to re-architect and/or Cloud-enable existing solutions for the verticals our client participates in. Key Responsibilities • Designing state-of-the-art Cloud solutions leveraging various cloud platforms • Collaborating with peer teams to re-architect and Cloud-enable existing solutions • Ensuring alignment with overall direction for Cloud, Security, and related stacks You will partner with peer groups to ensure that what you build aligns with the overall direction for Cloud, Security, and related stacks currently in play. While our overriding strategy is Cloud-first for all solutions, we recognize that there may be cases where a hybrid-Cloud or even on-premise solution will be the best approach to meet business needs. We will rely on you to work with your peers to translate Cloud-native approaches to work equally well in Cloud, hybrid-Cloud, and possibly even on-premise solution deployments. Technical Skills Required: • Expertise in full-stack application and solution development • Solutioning and engineering skills in one of the primary Cloud hyper-scalers with a preference for Azure skills • Cloud engineering skills including security and disaster recovery, storage, networking, virtualization, containerization, orchestration, Linux, web services, APIs, and DevOps • A working understanding of the primary services leveraged in building and deploying, at scale, Cloud-native applications and platforms • A deep understanding of Cloud security, user and identity management, and network configuration and administration Must-Have Soft Skills: • Leveraging teamwork to achieve organizational goals aligned with business outcomes • Leading by example • Flexibility and agility • Business acumen Desired Soft Skills: • Experience in collaborating cross-functionally with geo-distributed stakeholders • Comfortable presenting to stakeholders both internally and externally Process-Specific Skills: • Experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies Top 3 Key Results Areas (KRAs): • Designing/architecting solution offerings that align with client's Digital product roadmaps, strategic plans, and revenue targets • Working with the Cloud Engineering and Digital peer teams to deliver on commit dates for new or enhanced offerings per the roadmaps • Leveraging internal and external feedback to address solution design points that could be improved The estimated salary for this role is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience.
