Senior BI Developer Salary: £62,295 per annum Location: Hybrid, Birmingham This is a Permanent, Full Time vacancy The vacancy Hours: Full time - 35 hours per week / 70 hours over two weeks (nine-day fortnight) We are currently looking to recruit a Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Developer to join our team here at Housing 21. Within the role you will be expected to lead on the development of internal applications/tools and web platforms to serve growing business needs for the Development team. To focus on provision of Business Intelligence and management Information using MS SQL server technologies including SSIS, SSAS and SSRS. As well as actively delivering project requirements the role will entail translating technical strategy from the Development Manager and senior stakeholders into tangible high quality, scalable software solutions for business areas within Housing 21. The successful candidate will play a key role in mentoring and guiding members of the Development team towards maturing their skills and practices by introducing them to new and innovative tools and methodologies. The post holder will also be expected to provide resolution on BAU issues within the Housing 21 technical environments when escalated beyond the Service Desk. Responsible for defining development principles and best practice and the focal point for driving best practice within development principles. This is a hybrid role and the successful candidate will be required to work from both the office and from their home as well as attend team meetings at our head office in Birmingham as required. What we’re looking for The essential requirements for the role include: • Substantial Data Warehouse design and management experience • Experienced in writing and securing Web APIs • Hands on experience in relational/multi-dimensional data modelling, including multiple source systems from databases and flat files, and the use of standard data modelling tools • Experience of SQL Server - TSQL, Schema Design, Complex Stored Procedures, Views • Relational database design experience • Working with Azure Datawarehouse technologies • STEM degree (Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths) Why us?
