The Role The Investment Analytics Intern supports the firm's insurance client relationships, client solutions, and performance teams. A successful intern will utilize mathematical and creative skills to provide a variety of analyses that are required by our insurance company clients, including, but not limited to: applying actuarial-based concepts of insurance in financial models/asset allocations, determining the drivers of portfolio investment performance or assisting a client with developing and maintaining their long-term strategic investment goals. The ideal candidate has a balance of strong quantitative and communication skills, as well as enthusiasm for independent thinking and the ability to excel under general supervision. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: • Asset/liability management • Income and tax forecasting • Quantitative investment analytics • Chart and table composition for marketing and client presentations • Analysis and creation of reports from financial statement databases • Performance measurement and attribution analytics • Other duties as assigned Core skill sets needed for this role: • Strong quantitative analytical abilities • Experience with the Microsoft Office suite of products (Outlook, Excel, etc.) • Excellent written and oral communication skills • Strong attention to the details! • Interest in a career in asset management • Considering pursuing CFA and/or actuarial designation The Candidate To be eligible for an internship at Sun Life, you must meet the following requirements: • Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university during the time of internship (June 2025 - August 2025) • Must be an undergraduate in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or other related technical fields • Eligible to legally work in the United States • Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) during Intern session Compensation for this role will be $22/hr.
