Azure Data Architect Location: Plano, TX Hybrid Contract Length: 6-12 months (with potential for extension) Compensation: Competitive, based on experience Skills & Qualifications: Experience: 10+ years of experience in Data & Analytics, with a strong background in data architecture and enterprise data modeling. 5-7 years of hands-on experience in building enterprise data models and leading data architecture initiatives. Technical Expertise: Extensive experience with Azure DataBricks and migrating or building data solutions on the Azure DataBricks platform. Advanced skills in SQL for designing and implementing data pipelines, stored procedures, and views. Proficient in Python for data engineering and automation of data processes. Hands-on experience with ELT/ETL processes and large-scale data pipeline development. Architecture & Design: Expertise in Medallion Architecture and enterprise-level data modeling. Proven ability to design scalable, high-performance data architectures. Deep understanding of data optimization, security, and data governance principles. Leadership: Experience in setting technical strategy and leading complex technical initiatives. Proven track record of mentoring and leading a team of data engineers, architects, and developers. Business Acumen: Ability to translate business requirements into functional data solutions. Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and pain points. Additional Skills (Preferred but not required): Familiarity with other cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform). Experience with data lakes, data warehousing, or other data storage architectures. Experience with data governance frameworks and data security protocols. Expected Deliverables: Enterprise Data Model: Successful design and implementation of an enterprise-level data model. Data Pipelines: Development and optimization of data pipelines for projects such as Online Design Center and Higharc. Data Platform Maturity: Help drive the maturity of the Modern Data Platform, ensuring scalability, performance, and alignment with business objectives.
