We are seeking a Data Scientist to join our growing analytics team. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming data into actionable insights that support business strategy, marketing campaigns, inventory management, and customer experience optimization. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze trends, build predictive models, and improve operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Data Analysis & Reporting: • Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets from various sources (sales, website traffic, customer data, etc.) to derive insights. • Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate data findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders. • Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify trends, correlations, and outliers that influence business decisions. Predictive Modeling & Data Science: • Build predictive models using machine learning techniques to forecast sales trends, customer behavior, and inventory needs. • Implement algorithms to automate data processing and generate actionable insights in real-time. • Collaborate with other departments (marketing, sales, operations) to develop models that enhance customer personalization and targeting. Data Strategy & Optimization: • Assist in defining key metrics for business performance and ensure the proper tracking of these metrics. • Optimize data processes to improve data quality and reporting efficiency across the company. • Apply statistical methods and advanced analytics to uncover hidden opportunities for cost savings, revenue growth, and customer satisfaction. Collaboration & Communication: • Work closely with leadership to understand business goals and translate them into data-driven projects. • Present findings in a clear and concise manner to diverse audiences, including executives, marketers, and product teams. • Provide actionable recommendations to support decision-making across various departments Preferred Skills & Qualifications: • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree preferred in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, or related field. Experience: • 2+ years of experience in data analysis, data science, or related field, preferably in retail or e-commerce. • Hands-on experience with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, R, Python, Tableau, Power BI). • Experience in building and deploying machine learning models (e.g., regression, classification, clustering). Technical Skills: • Proficiency in SQL for querying databases and performing data manipulation. • Strong programming skills in Python or R, with experience using libraries like Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, or TensorFlow. • Knowledge of data visualization best practices, with hands-on experience in tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Matplotlib. Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: • Ability to analyze complex datasets and generate actionable insights. • Strong understanding of statistical methods and their application to real-world business problems. Communication & Collaboration: • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical data to non-technical audiences. • Ability to collaborate in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Preferred Skills: • Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure). • Familiarity with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark). • Experience in retail analytics (sales forecasting, inventory optimization, customer segmentation).
