Join Capital One as a Senior Solutions Architect Manager and be a part of a talented team in the Card Partnerships segment of Card Tech. Our Card Tech team is dedicated to engineering and managing cutting-edge technology solutions for Capital One's domestic Credit Card business, serving millions of customers daily. This role focuses on providing Co-Branded and Private Label Credit Cards for prominent companies across various industries. In this dynamic position, you will lead the design and implementation of crucial technology solutions that span multiple Card Platforms. Collaborating with an integrated Partnerships business, technology, and operations team, you will contribute to architecture across broader Card and Enterprise teams, ensuring seamless integration throughout Partnerships solutions. Key Responsibilities: • Lead innovative solutions architecture design for multi-platform and cross-platform systems. • Conduct trade-off and impact analysis to inform challenging technical decisions and manage technical conflicts effectively. • Showcase thought leadership and strategic direction in collaboration with product delivery partners. • Represent and explain architectural solutions in Architecture Review Boards and engage in product, platform, and architecture discussions. • Communicate work products and strategies proficiently to product managers and technology leadership. • Act as the primary architecture contact for other architecture and delivery teams regarding solutions and systems. • Stay current with evolving technology needs and trends. Basic Qualifications: • Bachelor's Degree. • A minimum of 6 years in Software Engineering and Systems Architecture or Technology Solution Design. • At least 2 years of experience in creating solutions architectures in a public cloud environment (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). Preferred Qualifications: • Master's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology. • 10+ years of software engineering experience. • 5+ years as a Solutions Architect in complex organizations. • 8+ years designing scalable and decoupled systems in regulated technology environments. • 3+ years experience working with business clients. • 3+ years of experience with AWS services and implementations. • Proven track record of influencing technology initiatives with executives. • Experience in mentoring software engineers or architects. • Experience in regulated environments (HIPAA, PCI, Privacy, etc.). • Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively at all organizational levels. • AWS or equivalent cloud certifications (e.g., Cloud Practitioner, Solution Architect-Associate, GCP, or Azure). This position, located at McLean, VA offers a salary range of $225,400 - $257,200, and for Richmond, VA a salary range of $204,900 - $233,800.
