We provide High Quality, Cost efficient and Competitive Solutions and Resources. 3Core Systems is looking for a Senior Data Engineer Microsoft fabric for one of our clients in Miami, FL or Dallas, TX (Onsite, 5 Days/Week No Remote/Hybrid) Job Title: Senior Data Engineer Microsoft Fabric Location: Miami, FL or Dallas, TX (Onsite, 5 Days/Week No Remote/Hybrid) Duration: Long-term Contract / Contract-to-Hire Core Requirement We are seeking a senior-level Data Engineer with hands-on Microsoft Fabric implementation experience. This role requires more than familiarity with Fabric; candidates must have designed, built, and implemented end-to-end Fabric solutions in real-world enterprise environments. Responsibilities • Design, implement, and optimize data solutions within Microsoft Fabric, including Lakehouse and Data Warehouse architectures. • Leverage OneLake for data connectivity (e.g., shortcutting to Azure Data Lake and other storage). • Build and maintain Fabric Data Pipelines (ETL/ELT) for large-scale ingestion, transformation, and orchestration. • Evaluate and implement mirroring strategies across Azure SQL and on-prem SQL (understanding GA vs Preview limitations). • Make and document architecture decisions (e.g., Lakehouse vs Warehouse), explaining trade-offs and impact. • Integrate Fabric with APIs and external systems, ensuring performance, resiliency, and disaster recovery (DR) considerations. • Partner with stakeholders to understand business context (customer, financial, operational data) and guide data strategy. • Act as a consultant and advisor educating the internal team, mentoring less experienced engineers, and ensuring best practices are followed. • Participate in requirements gathering, technical design reviews, and project decision-making. • Stay current with Microsoft Fabric GA and Preview features, advising the team on adoption timing and strategy. Required Skills & Experience • Proven Microsoft Fabric implementation experience (not just post-go-live reporting). • Deep expertise in: • OneLake connectivity and data shortcutting • Lakehouse and Warehouse design in Fabric • Fabric Data Pipelines for ETL/ELT workflows • Mirroring (Azure SQL vs on-prem SQL) • API integration and resiliency planning • Solid understanding of GA vs Preview Fabric features and their implications in production. • Strong background in Azure Data ecosystem (Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Azure SQL, Data Lake, Power BI). • Ability to clearly articulate personal project contributions, including technical and business rationale. • Strong consulting mindset: can advise, teach, and guide others rather than only execute tasks. • Excellent communication skills in English, able to interface directly with business and technical stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications • Experience in large-scale enterprise implementations involving customer, financial, or operational data. • Exposure to resilient, high-availability architectures in Fabric. • Knowledge of data governance and security in Fabric. • Prior experience in mentoring or training internal teams.
