Position: POWER BI DEVELOPER (LOCAL TO TORRANCE, CA) Power BI Developer (Local to Torrance, CA) Contract Duration : 6 - 12 months (with possible extension) Hybrid Role Pay Rate (On W2 Only) : $60 - $65 / HR (Based on experience and the skills looking for) Job Description : We are seeking a skilled and motivated Power BI Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, data modeling, and database management, with extensive experience in Power BI and related technologies. Key Responsibilities : • Perform data analysis to support business decision-making. • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, translate technical specs, document and deliver actionable insights. • Create and optimize data models to ensure efficient data retrieval and analysis. • Develop, design, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards. • Integrate Power BI with various data sources, including databases, cloud services, and APIs. • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, security and governance across all reports and dashboards. • Provide training and support to end-users on Power BI tools and functionalities. • Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in Power BI and data analytics. Required Skills and Qualifications : • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. • Proven experience as a Power BI Developer or in a similar role. • Strong proficiency in Power BI, including DAX, Report Builder, Power Query and Power Automate. • Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing. • Proficiency in SQL and database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL). • Familiarity with other data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Qlik Sense) is a plus. • Worked in Agile organization and be familiar with Agile methodologies like SAFe Agile, knowledge of Jira, ITSM etc. • Strong communication and collaboration abilities. • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Preferred Qualifications : • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) and their data services. • Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or Java. • Certification in Power BI or related technologies.
