The Company Planning Analyst will support the Company Planning team in managing company-wide processes, reporting, and analysis of business to identify trends and areas of opportunity. In this role they will work closely on optimizing the company's Promotional Markdown strategy, and assist with understanding overall performance and impact to top and bottom line. The Company Planning Analyst will also provide critical thinking and analysis across the company that supports initiatives to increase sales, gross margin, EBITDA, cash flow, and inventory productivity. • Manage and own the company promotional markdown submission & reporting processes, ensuring accuracy and collaborating efficiently with all key stakeholders. • Work with cross functional partners to provide insight through reporting and creating tools that will help teams have more visibility and make quick decisions to drive company profitability. • Monitor, report on, and analyze business (specifically Promotional Event efficacy) to assist in forecasting and strategy decisions. • Assist Company Planning with other Ad-Hoc analysis and reporting needs, to gain exposure and experience in other functions of Finance. • Analyze current processes and develop action plans for problem/resolution. • Communicate effectively with all cross functional stakeholders: Merchandising, Planning Leadership, Marketing, Credit/Loyalty, Finance, Treasury, and Data Solution/Reporting. • The Company Planning analyst position provides exposure, experience and growth opportunities that may enable advancement within Company Planning. • Self-starter who is highly curious. • Demonstrates the ability to manage time effectively and meet tight deadlines. • Be an analytical Swiss army knife, motivated by diving into business at all levels to identify opportunities Required for All Jobs • Performs other duties as assigned • Complies with all policies and standards QUALIFICATIONS Education Details Required/ Preferred Bachelor's Degree Required Experience Details Required/ Preferred • 1-3 years retail experience, Required • 1-3 years merchandise or financial planning experience, Required KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES • Has the ability to thrive in an environment of change while demonstrating high level of business agility. • Has a strong foundational knowledge of retail math and building/forecasting retail financial plans. • Proficient in business-related computer software (Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel) • Detail oriented with strong analytical and logic skill set • Strong internal communication capabilities • Strong trend and pattern recognition skills • Highly organized and able to multitask • Demonstrates leadership and decision-making skills • Takes calculated risks to achieve results!!
