The Interim Healthcare Augusta Team is looking for a new office team member to fill the Medical Billing and Records Specialist role. This person will be responsible for: Responsibilities: • Improving job knowledge and skills by networking and staying abreast of medical service rates in order to ensure up-to-date billing. • Filing all patients' medical records and information. • Keep all medical records confidential and protected • Complete clerical duties including answering phones, responding to emails, and processing patient admission and discharge records • Ensure patient charts, paperwork, and reports are completed in an accurate and timely manner • Inputting patient information and maintaining up-to-date records of patient data using computer software. • Help patients understand billing and charges for which they are responsible Requirements: • Ability to multitask • Great written and verbal communication skills • Highly organized with great time-management skills • Strong customer service skills • Works efficiently in a fast-paced environment • Pass drug screen and fingerprint background check • Proficient with Microsoft Office Qualifications: • 1 year experience in the healthcare field/ human resources • High School Diploma • Certification or degree in HR/ Medical Billing and Coding is preferred Contact the office today for more information!
