Who we are looking for:We are seeking a versatile and experienced Systems Engineer to support our growing IT environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working across a wide range of technologies, solving complex problems, and improving the performance, security, and reliability of cloud and endpoint systems. You’ll be responsible for managing cloud services, modern endpoint management, application deployment, system automation, and escalated support. The role also requires strong collaboration with security, network, and service desk teams to ensure cohesive service delivery and infrastructure performance. What you get to do: Engineer, administer, and support systems across Microsoft 365 and Azure environments Manage cloud infrastructure (AWS), including virtual machines, container services (e.g., AKS), storage, virtual desktop infrastructure, and identity services Administer endpoint management solutions such as Microsoft Intune or other MDM platforms for compliance, device provisioning, app deployment, and updates Maintain patching strategy across cloud, server, and endpoint systems to ensure ongoing compliance and security posture Administer identity and access configurations including SSO, conditional access, lifecycle management, and federation for both internal and external users Develop scripts and automation using tools such as PowerShell, Microsoft Graph, or REST APIs to streamline system management Provide Tier 3 escalation support for technical issues across devices, platforms, and applications Support enterprise collaboration tools including Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and conferencing/AV systems Oversee backup and recovery processes using modern solutions such as Veeam or similar platforms Implement and support application deployment and patch management tools, ensuring software consistency and lifecycle governance Translate cybersecurity requirements into actionable technical controls across systems, cloud environments, and endpoints Collaborate with security teams on identity protection, endpoint defense, data loss prevention, and incident response efforts Manage DNS configurations, including public records (A, CNAME, TXT, MX, SPF, DKIM, DMARC) for services such as email, SaaS apps, and integrations Participate in infrastructure and systems projects including cloud migrations, modernization, integrations, and tool rollouts Contribute to system documentation, process improvements, and technical knowledge sharing Work with third-party vendors, SaaS providers, and platform support teams as needed for escalations and service delivery What you bring to the team: 5+ years of experience in systems engineering, systems administration, cloud administration, or enterprise IT support Proficient with Microsoft 365 and Azure administration (identity, security, endpoints, collaboration tools) Strong experience with device compliance and lifecycle management via Intune or similar tools Skilled in scripting and automation using PowerShell, APIs, or workflow tools Solid understanding of endpoint security tools and controls, including Conditional Access and device protection Demonstrated ability to support and troubleshoot across platforms (Windows, macOS, mobile, virtual) Experience with enterprise backup systems and patch automation platforms Strong problem-solving skills, initiative, and ability to independently drive issues to resolution Experience with hybrid cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP) Familiarity with cybersecurity monitoring platforms such as Arctic Wolf or Microsoft Defender Exposure to identity federation concepts, modern authentication flows (SAML, OAuth, etc), and enterprise app security Background in supporting AV systems, remote collaboration platforms, and enterprise communication tools Understanding of ITIL concepts and enterprise IT operations Industry certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, M365 Modern Desktop, Security+, etc.) Why Join Team Slate?
