Position: System Administrator 2 - Mobile Device Management Job Number: 11600 Onsite:5 days a week, situational telework eligible OT: up to 5% Travel: up to 5% local travel On call: Some on call required, possible from home and/or office, will have a Client cell phonr Location: Portland, OR Length: 1- 5 yrs MUST be US Citizen in order to be eligible to apply for Federal Background Check This contract System Administrator 2 position is located in the Desktop Delivery organization of End User Services. The purpose of this position is to provide system administration of Microsoft Intune cloud service to provision, support, and control CLIENT smartphone devices • Administer the Intune Mobile Device Management (MDM) application: • Managing user permissions, groups, and privileges • Performance monitoring and tuning • Patch compliance monitoring and deployment • Assist with application upgrades • Research, design, and apply appropriate configuration settings for smartphone devices, phone groups, roles, and role-based provisioning of services and applications • Create reports on utilization, compliance, roll variance, etc. for management review • Work with other system component providers (networking, server operations, etc.), SaaS vendor, or telecom vendors to ensure correct operation of the Intune MDM system • Draft, edit, and update process and technical support documentation. • Utilize property management system (Sunflower) to record any IT equipment that arrives in or leaves the possession of the technician. • Troubleshoot calls from the IT Service Desk and start the resolution process, coordinating with other subject matter experts as required: • Solve technical issues in a professional manner or escalate in a timely fashion • Supply 3rd tier, advanced technical support for smartphone devices • Supply 3rd tier, advanced technical support related to desktop technologies • Prioritize work with a focus on client satisfaction and follow-through based on established procedures and guidance from CLIENT manager. • Understand the IT working environment sufficiently to explain technical issues and solutions to a wide range of technical and non-technical clients. Education/Experience: • An associate degree in computer/information technology (or related technical discipline) is preferred. • 5 years of experience is required with an applicable associate degree. • 7 years of experience is required without a degree or an applicable degree.Experience should be in information technology performing System Administration Required Technical Skills/Education: • 1 year of experience supporting smartphone devices. • 1 year of experience with Microsoft Intune (or similar) MDM application. • 1 year of experience with the following: • Provisioning smartphone devices in an enterprise environment • Configuring settings to enable and administer system and software operational and security functions • Change management practices and concepts to facilitate technical change to a large audience • Configuration control practices and concepts to ensure a stable operational environment • Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills with commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) and in-house developed software applications and delivery tools • Troubleshooting Microsoft Windows 11 in an enterprise environment. Preferred Skills/Experience: • Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate certification. • Apple Certified IT Professional. • ITIL V4 Foundations Certification Additional Requirements: • Valid U.S. Driver’s License is required Hazards/Risks: • Position requires a minimum level of physical ability sufficient to lift, carry, move and stack equipment weighing up to 40 pounds. Bending stooping, lifting, kneeling, reaching and walking for short distances (up to 500 yards) may be required.
