Senior Azure Cloud Engineer job at Clear Point Consultants. Boston, MA. W2 Only No C2C We’re seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Engineer to support our cloud migration initiatives, with a primary focus on lift-and-shift projects. In this role, you'll work closely with infrastructure, application, and security teams to ensure seamless transitions of workloads from on-premises environments to Microsoft Azure. Key Responsibilities: • Lead or support lift-and-shift cloud migration efforts using Azure-native tools and best practices • Design and implement Azure IaaS and foundational services (VMs, networking, storage, identity) to support migrated workloads • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, plan migrations, and troubleshoot issues during and after transition • Develop scripts and automation (e.g., PowerShell, ARM, Bicep, Terraform) to streamline and repeat migration processes • Ensure compliance with security and governance standards throughout the migration lifecycle • Monitor performance and cost of migrated resources, recommending optimizations where appropriate Qualifications: • Proven hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, particularly in infrastructure services and migrations • Strong understanding of Azure Migrate and related tools (ASR, Azure Site Recovery, etc.) • Solid knowledge of networking, DNS, Active Directory, firewalls, and related infrastructure concepts • Proficiency in scripting or infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., PowerShell, Bicep, Terraform) • Familiarity with cloud security best practices and cost management • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic, project-driven environment Preferred: • Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-104, AZ-305) • Experience with post-migration modernization and optimization • Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, etc.)
