Role: Data Engineer specializing in Azure Data Factory Salary: £40,000 - £44,000 Join an award-winning enterprise software scale-up that is poised for significant growth! We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to enhance our team. What You'll Do: • Implement, test, and deploy Azure Data Factory (ADF) pipeline definitions within version control to client environments. • Collaborate with our software implementation consultants (SICs) to define and validate ETL specifications. • Engage with customer IT teams to ensure data source endpoints fulfill specifications. • Work alongside Engineering teams to guarantee integrated data capabilities. • Support system cutovers in production, occasionally outside normal hours. • Identify opportunities to improve Azure Data Factory processes for better maintainability across various customers. About You: • Minimum two years of experience with Azure Data Factory, comfortable creating transparent and maintainable pipelines. • Proven experience in building and maintaining data integrations with diverse external systems. • Solid understanding of the ETL process. • Comfortable in client-facing roles with excellent communication skills, able to explain technical concepts to any audience. • Confident in handling complex referential data. • Familiarity with REST APIs, SQL databases, and various data sources. • Team player with experience collaborating across departments. • Attention to detail and enthusiasm for breaking down complex problems into manageable steps. Bonus Points If You Have: • Experience leading client calls directly. • Exposure to other Azure data technologies such as Azure Databricks. • Experience in integrating various downstream data sources, including cloud services, custom REST APIs, and on-premises databases.
