Description Participate in a cross-functional team environment responsible for development and support of core Dairy Farmers of America (DFA) business applications and processes. The Business Intelligence (BI) analyst / developer will architect, develop, and provide operational support skills to deliver and maintain business intelligence, data warehousing, reporting, and visualization solutions for a wide range of business functions and user communities. The BI analyst / developer will function as part of DFA's IT organization and follow relevant applications, infrastructure and governance processes. Job Duties and Responsibilities: Design, develop, and deploy logical or physical data models that support information delivery and the data visualization needs of the business using data warehousing concepts and dimensional data modeling Design, develop, and deploy ETL Scripts and pipelines Acquire data from various and multiple sources, transforming it to reporting ready data marts based on business requirements Coordinate ETL development and testing activities with teammates and business resources Create technical specifications for data flows and transformations Follow established standards Create and execute test scripts with business reporting analysts Ensure data quality with data modelers and / or business analysts through regression testing and troubleshooting Deliver data models using agile development releases Coordinate change management with business analysts and BI analytics teammates Maintain outbound interfaces using API, FTP, email, etc. Test new technologies to assist the company in becoming a data driven organization The requirements herein are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by employee, but is not a complete list of responsibilities, duties, and skills required. Location Kansas City, Kansas Requirements Required Minimum Qualifications: Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Computer or Data Science or similar field Strong skills with MS SQL Server and SQL/TSQL. Knowledge of Azure Data factory, Azure Data Lake, U-SQL, SSRS, C#, and PowerShell a plus. Strong skills with SSAS (Tabular) and AAS Knowledge of Power BI, DAX, Power Query, and MDX a plus but not required SAP ERP experience a plus but not required Microsoft Certifications a plus but not required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Able to understand basic software development languages and tools Able to demonstrate written and verbal communications skills with the ability to effectively communicate with business users, stakeholders, technical teams, and various levels of management Able to listen and communicate in a clear and concise manner, along with the ability to recognize the audience and tailor communications accordingly Able to work independently Able to work on multiple projects simultaneously, including the ability to prioritize Able to organize time and resources effectively to achieve goals (i.e., organizational skills) Able to demonstrate leadership qualities as a self-starter, set direction, and complete assignments Able to interact effectively and cooperatively with employees at all levels Able to demonstrate strong customer service orientation Must be flexible with work schedules and available to work overtime on evenings and weekends, with or without advanced notice Strong work ethic with ability and willingness to do 'what it takes' Able to work on-call Must be able to read, write, and speak English Salary Range: $80K -- $100K Minimum Qualification Software Development, Business Intelligence & AnalyticsEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
