Power BI Specialist Location; Irvine, CA (Onsite, 5 days a week) JOB DESCRIPTION Our client is seeking a Power BI Specialist with strong experience in both Power BI and Azure Synapse Analytics to support the development, enhancement, and maintenance of business-critical reporting. This role is essential in managing report workloads, enabling seamless data integration, and delivering actionable insights through robust dashboard solutions. QUALIFICATIONS • 2+ years of hands-on experience with Power BI , including report creation, enhancements, and support for existing dashboards. • Proven experience working with Azure Synapse Analytics, including building and optimizing data pipelines that feed into Power BI. • Strong ability to model, manage, and optimize complex data relationships across both Power BI and Synapse. • Experience building and managing Power BI development pipelines and change control processes. • Deep understanding of the Power BI ecosystem: Reports, Semantic Models, Dashboards, Workspaces, Development Pipelines, and Apps. • Ability to create Power BI visuals and reports from scratch using data sourced from Azure Synapse and other cloud platforms (e.g., SharePoint). • Skilled in writing and troubleshooting DAX measures and Power Query M-code. • Familiar with resolving schema changes, query errors, and authentication issues. • Basic understanding of visual design best practices for dashboards. • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with stakeholders across technical and non-technical teams. • Demonstrated ability to gather business requirements and translate them into scalable Power BI reports and dashboards.
