Experience in GIS and equipment, mapping, and computer-aided design required. Proficiency in ESRI geographic software, such as ArcInfo and ArcGIS 9x (ArcMap, ArcCatalog, ArcToolbox), use of geoprocessing tools, geocoding, process automation with Model Builder, ArcGIS Server, ArcSDE, and geodatabase versioning knowledge is required. Applicant should be skilled in database management tools with Microsoft Access, SQL, and ArcInfo data files. Verifiable work experience in the application of these systems is preferred. Ability to effectively utilize CADD software such as AutoCAD and integrate with GIS. Proficiency in data conversion and mapping projections. Ability to maintain database information and create professional maps and exhibits. Special consideration given to applicants with GPS/field data collection/survey experience, hydrology and hydraulics background, application development, and programming with .NET and/or the ArcGIS API for Flex. Must read and comprehend such written material as safety cautions/warnings, maps, traffic signs, operating instructions, work procedures, construction plans, and specifications. Must solve mathematical problems that may be required in normal work situations. Must effectively communicate with co-workers, the general public, contractors, industry, and/or governmental representatives and have satisfactory writing skills.
