If working to bring technology to the logistics industry sounds exciting, then we’d like to connect with you! We are looking for an experienced Data Analytics Engineer with a startup mindset. Our Current Tech • Technical stack: Python / Django (Backend), Javascript (Frontend), AWS services (Lambda, RDS, S3), PostgreSQL (Database), CircleCI and other continuous integration tools • Tech team: 12 engineers (+ 5 people in the product team) • Location: Los Angeles or New York (hybrid) Mission/Responsibilities OPPORTUNITY OVERVIEW \ In this role, you’ll be at the intersection of data engineering and analytics, transforming raw data into actionable insights that drive strategic decisions and improve our product offerings. You will work closely with our Product, Engineering, and Operations teams to build robust data pipelines, develop insightful dashboards, and support our data science initiatives. • Data Pipeline Development: • Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL pipelines to integrate data from various sources. • Ensure data quality and consistency across our data infrastructure. • Analytics & Reporting: • Develop, automate, and maintain dashboards and reporting solutions to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and business metrics. • Perform ad-hoc data analysis and support cross-functional teams with data-driven insights. • Collaboration & Communication: • Work closely with product and engineering teams to understand their data needs. • Translate business requirements into technical solutions and clearly communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. • Continuous Improvement: • Optimize existing data processes to improve efficiency and scalability. • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in data analytics, data engineering, and visualization. Qualifications In addition to the following technical skills, we are looking for PROBLEM SOLVERS with an entrepreneurial mindset. • Experience: 3+ years in data analytics engineering, data warehousing, or related roles. • Technical Skills: • Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases. • Strong programming skills in Python (or similar languages) for data processing and analysis. • Experience with ETL tools and data pipeline frameworks. • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker, Power BI, or Sigma. • Analytical Mindset: Ability to turn complex data sets into clear, actionable insights. • Collaboration: Excellent communication skills with a track record of working effectively in cross-functional teams. • Bonus: Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure) and exposure to machine learning or advanced analytics projects.
