Job Title Systems Administrator IV (Performance Monitoring) - REMOTE Location ORLANDO, FL 32826 US (Primary) US Job Type Full-time Job Description SUMMARY Support the Rating Career Domain Continuum (RCDC) Task Order under the Navy’s Learning Stack (LS) program by monitoring and optimizing the performance across the full systems development lifecycle. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Responsible for instrumentation, telemetry design, performance analysis, system health reporting, and coordination with cyber and DevSecOps teams to ensure performance objectives align with stakeholder expectations and DoD cybersecurity requirements. • Provide expert input into IPTs and Agile sprints to guide scalable monitoring infrastructure and meaningful performance baselines. • Design and implement system performance monitoring strategies using tools such as Dynatrace, AppDynamics, or equivalent. • Build telemetry dashboards and develop metrics tied to system availability, latency, throughput, and resource usage across hybrid environments (cloud, RPOC, and DoD networks). • Support implementation of monitoring within CI/CD pipelines in compliance with RMF and RAISE 2.0. • Collaborate with System Engineers, DevOps teams, and Cybersecurity SMEs to define performance acceptance criteria and thresholds. • Integrate monitoring tools with log aggregation and security incident/event management platforms (e.g., Splunk, ELK Stack). • Prepare and deliver performance monitoring inputs for contract deliverables. • Coordinate with Configuration Management and QA to align instrumentation with evolving baselines. • Analyze trends and system behavior across environments, proactively identifying bottlenecks or capacity limitations. • Provide performance testing support and traceability across the RTVM. • Conduct continuous tuning, patching, and updates for monitoring software and ensure secure configurations. • Ensure all performance tools and data processing workflows adhere to cybersecurity controls and meet FIPS 140-2 compliance standards for encryption. • Maintain regular and punctual attendance. • Perform other duties as assigned . SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES None. Job Requirements MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. • Five plus (5+) years of experience supporting large-scale enterprise or DoD system performance monitoring. • Demonstrated experience with capacity planning, load testing, and diagnostic tool integration. • Experience with performance monitoring platforms (e.g., AppDynamics, Dynatrace, New Relic). • Familiarity with RMF and DevSecOps frameworks. • Proficiency in scripting performance test scenarios (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner). • Advanced Excel/Power BI/Tableau skills for performance data analysis. • Familiarity with software containerization hardening and SCAP/STIG compliance scanning. • Active CompTIA Security+ (or higher CSWF certification). • Ability to obtain/maintain Secret clearance (generally, this requires U.S. Citizenship). • Must obtain and maintain any necessary security access and/or background checks. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS • Experience integrating performance data into dashboards and/or monitoring platforms. • Knowledge of Agile project management environments (e.g., Jira, Confluence). • AWS CloudWatch or Azure Monitor experience. WORK SCHEDULE Full-time. May be required to work additional hours as needed to complete assignment or project. TRAVEL The expected travel time is less than 25%. DRIVING REQUIREMENTS Must have or be able to attain a valid state driver’s license and be insurable on the company’s automobile insurance policy. Driving, with or without accommodation, may be required when traveling for training and/or short occasional amounts of local driving. The expected driving time is less than 25%. WORK ENVIRONMENT Work is expected to be remote; however, the company reserves the right to require onsite work.
