The SharePoint Administrator is primarily responsible for owning and managing the organization's SharePoint environment, including managing access controls, collaborating with end users on content creation, and overseeing the maintenance, curation, and organization of current, abandoned, and outdated content/data. This position serves as the lead technical expert in SharePoint management, ensuring the platform is optimized for organizational growth and scalability.What you'll be doing • With strong technical acumen, synthesize large sets of data/information to make improvement recommendations on SharePoint technologies, including site collections, libraries, and lists. • Deliver on assigned IT projects with minimal management; effectively collaborate with all levels of internal and external stakeholders (e.g., customers, other technical team members, and vendors.) • Implement SharePoint best practices to ensure adherence to security, compliance, and governance. • Leverage key concepts related to SharePoint tools/resources to collaborate with others in managing systems; co-leads planning of technical implementations of SharePoint technologies, including stakeholder/project management, and creating and updating required technical documentation. • Address and problem-solve through competing disruptions and lead through change, to train other administrators effectively on emerging SharePoint technologies. De-escalate conflicts, identify bottlenecks, and move to triage and resolution (service outages, customer escalations, etc.). • Systems Maintenance: ensure sufficient storage space by performing clean-ups and archiving data. Review usage and activity reports and make adjustments to ensure optimized user-experiences. • Collaborate and manage through SharePoint needs on mergers and acquisitions to assimilate and standardize environments related to site deployment, configuration, and migration of content. • Provide global technical support to: global data centers, Bioventus offices, and company events. • Hold oneself and others accountable to conduct business in a manner compliant with Bioventus' Code of Compliance and Ethics, policies and procedures and internal controls applicable to their role. • Other duties as assigned include assisting with onsite level 2-3 IT support, as well as VIP white glove service (e.g., hardware, software, & network troubleshooting, conference room support and routine user account creation & disablement.) What you'll bring to the table • Bachelor's degree and four (5) years advanced IT technical support experience; or high school diploma with minimum of eight (9) years previous advanced level IT technical support experience. • Demonstrated knowledge of SharePoint M365, OneDrive, and related technologies as both a content creator and an IT systems administrator. • Demonstrated skill in content creation and management and Intranet-building best practices. • Demonstrated knowledge of using PowerShell modules to optimize SharePoint environments & templates and data in the environment and automate repeatable processes. • Demonstrated knowledge of general networking concepts and troubleshooting, and expertise with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and NTFS file shares. • Demonstrated communication skills to train and aid others in SharePoint software and business applications and services; ability to communicate problems with senior engineers and management. • Highly preferred experience with content management systems (i.e. Confluence, SharePoint, Google Workspaces, Notion) best practices. • Superb collaboration, interpersonal, and cross-functional communication skills. • Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities; excellent organizational time-management. • Ability to maintain confidentiality and meet multiple deadlines.
