The Retail Solution Architect at Columbus will provide a unique combination of functional and product expertise and delivery implementation experience in retail systems to design and deliver software solutions to meet our customer’s needs as they pertain to this long-term engagement. In this opportunity you will provide in-depth knowledge of the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Retail application in a continued evaluation of the customers’ requirements, business processes and current issues to develop models and provide effective solutions. Note: This is a remote opportunity and can be located from anywhere in the United States. #LI-Remote. Responsibilities: Lead discovery meetings to understand current business processes. Scoping the customer solution to enable accurate estimation of the effort. Validation of business practices and processes in Dynamics 365 Retail based on discovery analysis. Conduct gap/fit analysis to determine difference between application and business processes. Identify creative solutions for processes that aren’t fully accomplished by standard Dynamics 365 Retail. Develop and deliver presentations to customers by outlining findings and recommendations to guide the implementation of the identified solution. Translate functional business objectives and critical success factors into functional documents. Configure application as appropriate to conform to business process definition. Configure POS hardware and visual configurations. Train users and develop training documentation. Provide on-going support to end users, assisting with troubleshooting or additional training via email, phone or site visits. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies. Requirements: 5+ years of experience as a consultant or functional solution architect with MS Dynamics AX 2012 and MS Dynamics 365 FO Retail/Commerce. 5+ years of experience D365 FSC/AX. Strong ability in evaluating retail processes and recommending improvements. 3+ full life cycle implementations of Dynamics 365 Retail/Commerce module. Knowledge of Life Cycle Services, Retail Architecture, B2B and B2C business and implementation. Excellent understanding of POS and store system design and execution with the Microsoft Dynamics ModernPOS, StoreCommerce and CloudPOS architectures. Excellent understanding of end-to-end ecommerce business functions including site management, Order management, Fraud protection, enhanced store collaboration (Buy Online Pick Up in Store and Buy in Store Ship to Home) and fulfilment including marketplace. Function as a subject matter expert for defining application requirement and reviewing use cases prepared by customer for retail and ecommerce implementation. Experience and strong working knowledge across the Retail and Commerce and supporting modules and Microsoft products. Order to cash Inventory, products, variants, attributes Catalogs, assortments, pricing, and discounts Online/Brick & Mortar channel configuration POS Architecture and configuration POS Hardware, touchscreens, barcode readers, credit card terminals, etc. Payment processing Loyalty and clienteling Distributed Order Management (DOM) and Intelligent Order Management (IOM) Data migration, data management and FastTrack go-live assessment Security framework, roles and best practices Exceptional interpersonal, communication and relationship building skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and effectively meet deadlines. Excellent demonstration and presentation skills. A passion for client success and enthusiasm for the products we implement. Ability to travel to provide services to clients; and nationally up to 40% of your time during peak implementation.
