Role: SQL Server DBA Location: Hartford, CT (Hybrid) Job Type: Contract to hire Job Description: Strong knowledge of MS SQL Server 2000/2005/2008/2012/2014/2016 and 2019 environments database administration in Windows and virtual environments Azure PaaS and IaaS, Sybase Experienced in implementation of HA options like Log Shipping, Mirroring and Replication and Clustering options for SQL Server Experience in writing T-SQL, including stored procedures, functions, views and triggers Experience with High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server Experience in Performance Tuning and Query Optimization for MSSQL Having Experience in SQL AlwaysON Having Experience in SQL server service pack and security patches installation. Good Experience in scheduling SQL Server Agent Jobs, Alerts and automating scripts. Strong knowledge of backups, restores, recovery models, database shrink operations, DBCC commands, Database mirroring, Replication. Having knowledge of Profiler, DTS, SSIS packages. Ability to detect and troubleshoot SQL Server related CPU, memory, I/O, disk space and other resource contention. Proficient with automation technologies such as MicroSoft DMA
Requirements
