Job Title: Azure Cloud Data Platform Administrator Location: 100% Remote, USA Employment Type: W2 Visa: No Constraints Experience Required: Minimum 6 years Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Azure Cloud Data Platform Administrator to manage and support enterprise data platforms, including Azure Data Lake , Data Factory , Databricks , and related DevOps tools. This is a hands-on infrastructure and platform support role , focused on ensuring availability, scalability, and performance of cloud-based BI and data engineering systems.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud administration , DevOps practices , system orchestration , and infrastructure automation , with the ability to work cross-functionally to support critical data workflows. Key Responsibilities • Administer and monitor Azure Data Lake , Azure Data Factory , and Azure Databricks environments to ensure daily processes run successfully. • Maintain platform uptime, performance, and reliability for enterprise-scale BI workloads and data pipelines. • Manage Terraform/Ansible scripts for environment provisioning and infrastructure as code (IaC) deployments. • Provide DevOps version control , CI/CD pipeline management, and documentation for deployments and configurations. • Troubleshoot and resolve platform issues across data pipelines, scheduling systems, and user access. • Support cross-functional BI teams in managing cloud-based systems, tools, and access provisioning. • Perform load balancing , performance tuning, and health checks across Spark and Databricks clusters. • Ensure systems are compliant with corporate policies around data governance, security, and GxP validation (where applicable). • Provide documentation, SOPs, and playbooks for platform configuration and recovery procedures. Required Qualifications • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience administering Azure Data Lake, Data Factory, and/or Databricks platforms. • Experience with DevOps tools , version control (e.g., Git), and workflow automation. • Familiarity with Terraform or Ansible for environment setup and automation. • Working knowledge of Spark, Python, and/or Scala from an administrative or operational standpoint. • Strong documentation and communication skills; able to collaborate with engineers, analysts, and business users.
