General Summary: A DataNet entry-level network administrator provides client support for DataNet products and services. This includes familiarity with Microsoft Windows Server/Workstation operating systems and support for VMware servers, cloud infrastructure, data centers, Microsoft 365, Security and RANSOMWARE prevention. Additional products include backup and disaster recovery, end-user support, Citrix & Microsoft terminal services. Also, a host of other third-party products delivered through client and vendor partnerships. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: A DataNet entry-level network administrator will work with a senior network administrator. Entry-level administrator will be trained to respond to and resolve support tickets for DataNet client’s products & services. This includes a wide range of issues and requires general and specific technical expertise in many areas, including server and workstation hardware, RAID configuration setup and troubleshooting, operating system installation and setup, backup and disaster recovery support, automated application deployment, virtualization using VMWare ESXi, firewall setup and configuration. Other technical support and service issues including answering general questions regarding third-party products offered through DataNet or the clients own customized software. A typical day can vary widely with various simple and complex issues. The ability to prioritize activities, multi-task, and effectively manage multiple client requests is essential. A DataNet entry-level network administrator plays a vital role in our relationship with clients, and it is crucial to have excellent communication skills, good follow-up, strong technical knowledge, and the ability to develop and maintain excellent relationships with our clients. Specific Duties: Work with ConnectWise, Autotask & DattoRMM (Remote Monitoring & Management) software to help maintain client uptime and optimization. Successfully resolve tickets with metrics comparable to other administrators. Work with various projects like installing new servers, security audits, and all applicable software for clients.
