Job Summary and Qualifications Duties include providing analytical support to division, corporate and facility staff by preparing and analyzing various operational and financial reports, working closely with pharmacy leadership to support division-level decision making and data management. Analytical tasks will include, but are not limited to, chargemaster price modeling, spend variance analysis, dashboard and benchmark development and maintenance, monitoring and reporting pharmacy spend and savings information, clinical and operational dashboard and forecasting. What you will do in this role: • Ensures adherence to all applicable policies • Prepares presentations, executive summaries, and other documentation to outline savings opportunities for facility and division management teams • May assist Facility or Division Value Analysis or Pharmacy Formulary Committees with product analysis • Provides supervision and guidance to facility buyers to optimize purchasing practices for successful pharmacy inventory management • Works with facility DOP, Controller and CFO to identify drug cost variances on a monthly basis and develops ongoing action plan to better manage those factors that can be controlled at the facility level • Identifies contracting opportunities through data mining and new available Letters of Commitment • Performs miscellaneous pharmacy purchasing cost analysis • Monitors trends in facility utilization of reverse distributors including SKU reduction opportunities • Identifies and analyzes product trends by supplier and SKU in support of consolidated distribution and formulary optimization activities • Assists in the development and implementation of financial data collection and measurement tools within the Supply Chain • Works with Division Pharmacy leadership on operational, clinical and financial analysis as needed • Prepares explanations of trends in Supply Chain performance and financial data • Analyzes contract compliance and purchasing optimization opportunity • Supports analytics and dashboard/reporting needs for all division team members • Educates facility staff on how to run and analyze spend and utilization data • Performs other duties as assigned. • Practices and adheres to the “Code of Conduct” and “Mission and Value Statement.” What qualifications you will need: • High school diploma or GED, required • Associate or Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field, preferred • Masters or CPA, preferred • At least three to five (3-5) years of progressive analytical experience with financial data required, preferably in healthcare, required • Experience working in Microsoft Office, Pharmacy Information System, Business Objects and purchasing vendor applications, preferred • 25% Travel Required HealthTrust Supply Chain is a critical part of HCA Healthcare’s strategy.
