Our client, a leader in innovative technology solutions, is seeking a highly experienced Principal Cloud Solutions Architect to join their expanding IT and Software division. This is a pivotal role where you will design, implement, and manage complex cloud-based infrastructure and applications. Responsibilities: Lead the design and architecture of robust, scalable, and secure cloud solutions on major platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). Develop and maintain cloud strategy, roadmap, and best practices. Architect and implement infrastructure as code (IaC) solutions using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation. Oversee the migration of existing applications and services to the cloud. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams. Define and enforce cloud governance, security standards, and compliance requirements. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to cloud infrastructure. Evaluate and recommend new cloud technologies and services. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for cloud architectures and systems. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, with at least 5 years focused on cloud architecture and design. Deep expertise in designing and implementing solutions on AWS, Azure, or GCP. Proven experience with microservices, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and serverless technologies. Strong understanding of networking, security, and data management in cloud environments. Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and IaC tools. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are highly desirable. Experience working in a remote-first or distributed team environment. Strategic thinker with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
