The transaction will enable Kodiak to operate with greater flexibility and focus, positioning it to accelerate growth and expand its technology portfolio to better serve healthcare provider organizations across the county. We are seeking a skilled Data Science Engineer who will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and improvement of current machine learning implementations within our Revenue Cycle line of business. In addition, this role will so have responsibility for helping to develop a more comprehensive and robust data science practice that can be applied to all areas. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in data science and an in-depth understanding of machine-learning techniques. Additionally, they will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. About the Role In this role, you will have to function both as an individual contributor and a strategic thinker. You will play an important role in building out the data science practice within the engineering group. • As an individual contributor, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery continuity of existing solutions that incorporate data science and machine learning. • As a lead, you will be driving change in how our products and services leverage machine learning; you will help our engineering leadership team implement a cohesive vision to address scalability both in technology and people. • You will be able to understand and interpret short- and long-term goals and act in a cohesive and coordinated way to achieve those goals. Required Skills • Programming experience . You’re experienced writing scalable, production-level code in Python. You’re familiar with Linux / UNIX systems. • Platform experience. You’re experienced in using Azure Machine Learning and in the creation of reusable builds using this platform. Machine learning experience . You’ve used machine learning packages, such as Tensorflow and Pytorch, and have proven experience in designing / developing AI / ML models. You understand the mechanics of supporting ML solutions in a production environment and can help develop / maintain tests that validate functionality or evaluate model performance. • Software Experience . You’re familiar with the software development lifecycle. You have exposure to CI / CD frameworks, containerization, and tools like Docker and Git. • Scalability experience. Developing solutions with scalability in mind is your default mode of operation and you take active steps to ensure every problem you solve can be scaled at an enterprise level. Preferred Skills Communication skills . You can communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical or unfamiliar audiences, both written and verbal; you support the creation of client-facing deliverables and documentation. • Team Leadership. Capable of managing a small team effectively. Happily, sits in meetings so the team doesn't have to. Follows through on promises around work, rewards, and time. • Agile experience. You’re experienced attending Scrum or Kanban meetings; you favor incremental, iterative improvements through regular releases, testing, and monitoring. • Knowledge sharing. You enjoy sharing what you learn, whether by offering cross-training opportunities, giving internal team lightning talks, or by writing detailed comments on tickets when you close them. • Developing Others .
