We are seeking a visionary and strategic technology leader to serve as our Vice President of Architecture, Data, and Infrastructure. In this role, you will be responsible for shaping and executing the enterprise-wide technology architecture, data strategy, and infrastructure roadmap that drives scalability, performance, and innovation. The Vice President of Architecture, Data and Infrastructure is a senior leadership role reporting directly to the Senior Vice President IT. This position is responsible for the strategic direction, design, implementation, and operations of enterprise architecture, data strategy and governance, infrastructure services, telecommunications, and IT service management. What You’ll Do This is a Full-Time Salary Position The VP of Architecture, Data, and Infrastructure is both a leadership and hands-on role, requiring deep subject matter expertise across all areas of responsibility and a proven ability to deliver business value through technology. The successful candidate will oversee internal teams and third-party partners, manage substantial technology investments, and participate as a valued member of the leadership team. The role provides direct visibility to the company’s leadership committee and requires exceptional leadership, communication, and decision-making capabilities. The role is also expected to stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends, proactively identifying innovation opportunities. They will work closely with product teams and business leaders to explore, test, and evaluate use cases that can improve operational efficiency, customer experience, or competitive advantage. Strategic Leadership • Develop and execute strategic plans for enterprise architecture, infrastructure, data governance, and IT service delivery aligned with business objectives. • Participate actively in executive-level meetings, providing technology insight that informs enterprise decision-making. • Drive alignment between IT and business strategies through strong partnership with business unit leaders. Architecture & Technology Planning • Lead the development of enterprise architecture frameworks covering applications, infrastructure, security, and data. • Establish architecture principles, technical standards, and governance processes that ensure scalability, performance, and integration. • Maintain current awareness of emerging technologies, tools, and industry trends; evaluate relevance and applicability for the organization. • Collaborate with product teams and business stakeholders to identify, test, and refine innovative use cases for new technologies. Data Strategy & Governance • Own the enterprise data strategy including data integration, master data management, data quality, and governance frameworks. • Ensure appropriate data stewardship, access controls, database administration and architecture to support analytics and decision-making. • Collaborate with analytics, digital, and business teams to drive a data-driven culture. Infrastructure & Cloud Operations • Direct all infrastructure operations, including on-premise, private/public/hybrid cloud environments, and core platform services. • Champion the use of automation, infrastructure-as-code, and DevOps methodologies. • Ensure operational excellence through proactive monitoring, high availability, and disaster recovery planning. Telecommunications & Connectivity • Oversee enterprise voice, data, and mobile communication platforms. • Optimize bandwidth, cost, and reliability across all retail and corporate locations. • Ensure security, scalability, and performance in network design and operations. IT Service Management • Lead all ITSM functions including incident, problem, change, asset, and configuration management. • Implement SLAs, KPIs, and continual service improvement programs. • Build a culture of customer-centric service delivery and operational excellence. Budget & Vendor Management • Own and manage the operating and capital budgets for areas of responsibility. • Manage internal teams and external service providers to maximize value, quality, and performance. • Oversee vendor contracts, service levels, and renewal/termination decisions. Environmental Factors & Working Schedule • Hybrid work environment, 4 days in-person attendance (Pittsburgh, PA) in addition to ability to work remotely. • Regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands or fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear • Sedentary work. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master’s degree preferred. • 15+ years of progressive experience in IT with 7+ years in senior leadership roles. • Proven hands-on expertise in enterprise architecture, infrastructure, cloud operations, and data governance. • Deep experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure), networking, server virtualization, and ITSM frameworks (e.g., ITIL). • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and their application across platforms and operations. • Retail industry experience strongly preferred. • Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills • Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning) • Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts • Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients • Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment. • Ability to work with and influence peers and senior management • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting Leadership Competencies • High emotional intelligence (EQ) and intellectual horsepower (IQ). • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels. • Demonstrated success in conflict resolution, stakeholder alignment, and organizational change. • Proven leadership in building and scaling high-performing technology teams. • Strategic thinker with a strong track record of execution. • Experience managing innovation and piloting emerging technologies Equal Opportunity Employer Minorities/Women/Protected Veterans/Disabled
