Job Title: Principal AI/ML Engineer (VP) Location: Tampa, FL Duration: Full-Time Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred). • 10+ years of relevant experience in software development and systems analysis. • Proven track record in project delivery, technical leadership, and platform scalability. • Deep understanding of financial services and core business functions is a plus. Required Skills: • Expert in Python, Java, SQL, JavaScript (D3.js), and Bash. • Strong experience with Machine Learning, LLMs, Prompt Engineering, RAG, and advanced statistical methods. • Hands-on experience with Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Hive, NumPy, Pandas, and Matplotlib. • Familiarity with MLOps tools like MLflow and Weights & Biases (W&B). • Proficient in distributed systems, system architecture, RESTful APIs, and Kubernetes. • Experience with at least one public cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP). • Bonus: Knowledge of functional languages (Scala, Clojure, Rust, Elixir). Key Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and deploy high-quality, scalable, and secure software solutions. • Lead AI/ML model development using LLMs, RAG, and modern algorithms (NLP, Reinforcement Learning, Decision Trees, etc.). • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including quants and business SMEs. • Ensure compliance with Citi’s SDLC and security standards. • Operate and innovate platform systems at scale. • Contribute to product strategy and act as a trusted technical advisor to leadership. Overview: Client is a leading global financial institution, is seeking a Principal AI/ML Engineer to join its Data Concerns Remediation Management platform. In this role, you will lead the design and implementation of core AI/ML components, with a strong focus on LLMs, scalable systems, and architectural best practices. You will collaborate closely with development teams, product owners, and business experts to ensure high-performance and secure platforms.
