Job description
JustinBradley’s client, a source of mortgage financing, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud and Data Architect to lead architectural decisions across Cloud and Data Enterprise Portfolios. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in cloud environments (AWS or Azure), enterprise security standards, and data architecture, with experience driving secure and scalable technical solutions. Responsibilities: • Serve as a trusted advisor to business teams, understanding their needs for cloud implementations. • Provide strategic recommendations for cloud migration and develop technical roadmaps for AWS adoption. • Create application, data, and deployment architectures, functional designs, and contribute to key project deliverables. • Design scalable, secure, and high-performance technical solutions on AWS tailored to customer requirements. • Collaborate cross-functionally with project teams and departments like Information Security, Compliance, and Controls to deliver robust solutions. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field; Master’s preferred. • 12+ years of progressive experience in application development, with at least 6 years in solution or systems architecture. • Minimum of 5 years' hands-on experience with AWS or Azure as a solution architect. • Deep understanding of enterprise data platforms including Data Lakes, Data Warehouses, and Data Marts. • Experience with Architecture principles; TOGAF certification is a plus. • AWS Architecture Associate Certification or Azure equivalent required; AWS Professional Certification preferred. • CISSP or another security certification is a plus. • Hands-on experience with microservices, API, streaming data platforms, and large-scale enterprise data architectures. • Proficiency in managing relational, semi-structured, and unstructured data; Python or Java skills are a major advantage. • Familiarity with SAS and R technologies is a major plus. • Experience in multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and in implementing platform security, inter-service communication, and resiliency solutions.
