Position: Cyber Security Specialist Location: Tulsa, OK (Onsite) Pay: $30 to $34/hour Experience: 2 years of prior experience in system administration, networking, and OT systems is required. Education: Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in experience in Computer Science, Cyber Security or related field with specialized training in networking, and communication systems. Type: Full-time; Long-Term Contract Schedule: M-F 8 to 5 ProRecruiters is seeking a Cyber Security Specialist to join a growing and dynamic team! The Cyber Security Specialist is primarily responsible for monitoring potential threats and responding to reported security violations, analyzing and applying security updates to servers, Engineering Workstations, virtual computers, PCs and other devices on the Operations Technology domain, managing the network, Domain Controller, Active Directory, Data Server, Operating Systems, and software applications, as well as completing any regulatory auditing and compliance requirements. Job Description: • Ensure compliance with DOT and OSHA safety and environmental requirements. Follow company safety protocols, including proper use of PPE, hazard reporting, and observing safe work practices. • Gain a working knowledge of pipeline system operations, control system design, and related engineering practices and procedures. • Monitor and report on user accounts and security updates across all I&C OT systems. • Identify and replace outdated equipment, operating systems, and software; research alternatives and perform upgrades or installations at field locations. • Maintain system integrity by evaluating and updating systems, developing policies and procedures to prevent unauthorized access. • Recommend and implement system and procedural changes to improve data security and address vulnerabilities. • Maintain up-to-date documentation of network management systems, infrastructure diagrams, hardware and software inventories, and licensing details. • Use Microsoft PowerShell to automate security changes, PC patching, and other system processes. • Collaborate with the corporate IT Cyber Security Team to align with company-wide security policies and initiatives; lead implementation of updates and audit findings. • Participate in internal and external audits and support regulatory compliance activities in coordination with other departments. Position Requirements: • COMPTIA or similar certification preferred. • Ability to consistently engage in safe practices and follow safety protocols. • Familiarity with emergency procedures and relevant safety regulations (DOT, EPA, FERC, DHS, OSHA). • Working knowledge of Active Directory, IIS, PowerShell, and PC OS configuration. • Proficiency in firewall and network security, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and network management tools. • Understanding of TSA cybersecurity regulations for pipelines. • Strong project management and analytical skills. • Effective collaboration with supervisors, coworkers, and vendors. • Ability to follow corporate policies and demonstrate reliability in workplace behavior.
