DataPerk is seeking a talented Network Technician Tier 2 to contribute to our mission of providing exceptional IT services tailored to the specific needs of our clients. Role and Responsibilities: General Networking • Possess a strong understanding of general networking concepts and the OSI model. • Install, troubleshoot, and repair structured cabling, and review technical drawings. • Configure and troubleshoot DHCP and DNS (server and gateway). • Perform latency checks, packet captures, and review overall network health. Switching/Routing • Install, configure, and troubleshoot switches and routers (Fortinet, Meraki, Cisco). • Understand broadcast domains and implement VLANs. • Install, configure, and troubleshoot switch stacking and power failover. • Understand and troubleshoot network topologies. Firewalls • Install, configure, and troubleshoot firewalls and site to site VPNs (Fortinet, Meraki, Cisco). • Install, configure and troubleshoot client SSL-VPNs (Fortinet, Meraki, Cisco). • Experience maintaining licensing and configuration backup plan. Wireless • Implement, configure, and troubleshoot wireless systems including Fortinet, Meraki, Cisco, and UniFi. • Maintain licensing and backup configuration plans for wireless systems. At least five years of industry experience in Network Administration. Possess at least one of the following certifications: • CompTIA Network+ • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA 200-301 • Cisco Certified DevNet Associate • Fortinet NSE 4-6 Possess two or more of the following certifications: • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate • Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate • Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Administration Fundamentals • CompTIA Server+ • CompTIA Security+ • Certified Ethical Hacker • VMware Certified Professional (VCP) • Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) • Associate in computer science or comparable experience Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
