This position will be a member of the WhiteWater IT department in Austin and will support enterprise data and analytics initiatives across the organization. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining dashboards in Power BI, supporting our Azure cloud-based data warehouse infrastructure, and working with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions. The role requires strong SQL skills, working knowledge of Python, and the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams. This is a hands-on position that will play a key role in scaling WhiteWater’s data capabilities to meet growing business demands. Responsibilities Include: Collaborate with business users to gather, refine, and document analytics requirements Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the organization's business processes and systems to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation Develop SQL queries and Python scripts for data extraction, cleaning, and analysis Modify or create new views and tables in our Azure SQL data warehouse, using DBT Develop and maintain parts of our ELT/data transformation workflows using Python, DBT, and Azure Data Factory Design, build, and deploy Power BI dashboards, including data modeling and DAX calculations Provide training and support for dashboard and data warehouse users, helping them understand and explore data Collaborate with external vendors and consultants to implement new software and data integrations Qualifications & Experience: Proven experience with complex SQL querying Comfortable using Python for data tasks (cleaning, scripting, basic analytics) Familiar with cloud platforms, preferably Azure Hands-on experience with Power BI (preferred), Tableau, or similar tools Understanding of data modeling and database best practices Familiar with Git/GitHub and version control Bachelor’s degree preferred (engineering, math, statistics, computer science, etc.) 2+ years of experience in analytics or a related IT field Strong problem-solving, time management, and analytical skills Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities Strong interpersonal and communication skills; must be able to collaborate across teams Demonstrated ability to work independently and take ownership of projects Benefits: This position is located in Austin, Texas and is an in-office position.
