Position Overview: We are seeking a Remote Account Manager to oversee and develop client relationships across our managed services portfolio. This role is ideal for someone with strong communication skills, a customer-centric mindset, and a foundational understanding of IT services. You’ll act as a strategic advisor and escalation point for clients, helping them align their technology with their business goals. Core Responsibilities:Client Relationship Management • Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of managed service clients • Build trusted relationships through regular check-ins, QBRs (Quarterly Business Reviews), and strategic conversations • Ensure client satisfaction, retention, and long-term partnership growth • Proactively identify client risks, gaps, or improvement areas and escalate internally as needed Technology Consulting & Service Alignment • Understand and clearly communicate the value of Next IT’s offerings including: • Managed IT Support • Cybersecurity Services (EDR, MDR, Firewall Management, Phishing Protection) • Cloud Solutions (Microsoft 365, Azure, Cloud Migrations) • Compliance & Risk Management (HIPAA, CMMC, NIST, etc.) • Backup & Disaster Recovery (BDR) • IT Projects (hardware refreshes, migrations, network upgrades, etc.) • Collaborate with technical teams to scope new projects, renew contracts, or recommend infrastructure upgrades • Translate technical concepts into business value for decision-makers Operational Excellence • Ensure service delivery aligns with client expectations and MSP SLAs • Monitor support ticket trends and assist in resolving recurring issues with the service team • Coordinate with Project Managers, vCIOs, and Engineers to manage timelines, budgets, and deliverables • Maintain accurate records of all client interactions and account statuses in the CRM or PSA (e.g., ConnectWise, Autotask) Communication & Availability • Be reachable and responsive during business hours by phone, email, or chat • Participate in video calls, on-site meetings (if required), and emergency communications when escalations arise • Keep clients informed proactively, not reactively Requirements: • 2+ years of experience in Account Management, Client Success, or Service Delivery (preferably in an MSP or IT services environment) • Foundational IT knowledge: can confidently discuss common IT systems, security concepts, and cloud technologies • Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills • Proven ability to manage multiple clients or projects simultaneously • Strong problem-solving and client advocacy mindset • Comfortable working with PSA/CRM systems, Microsoft 365, Teams, and collaboration tools • Self-motivated, organized, and able to thrive in a remote work environment Nice-to-Have (Preferred): • Familiarity with MSP tools like HaloPSA, Datto, SentinelOne, or Nable Products • Technical certifications (CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco, etc.) a plus • Experience conducting QBRs or customer lifecycle management What We Offer: • 100% remote work with flexible 8 hour shifts when requested • Career development opportunities in a high-growth MSP • Access to ongoing training in IT, cybersecurity, and account management • Collaborative and supportive company culture • Competitive salary and performance incentives Job Type: Full-time Pay: $68,400.00 - $68,600.00 per year Benefits: • 401(k) • 401(k) matching • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Paid time off • Retirement plan Schedule: • 8 hour shift • Day shift • No weekends • Weekends as needed Supplemental Pay: • Bonus opportunities • Commission pay • Performance bonus Work Location: In person
