Job Summary The position of Senior Accountant for Trust Automation will directly contribute to Trust Automation’s success by providing professional level, cross-functional accounting support that is analytical, evaluative, and advisory in nature for the company. The Senior Accountant level is a more advanced accounting role. Trust Automation is a government contractor and although not required, a person with government contract accounting experience would be of great benefit to this position. Direct contribution to month-end and fiscal year-end close process Manages capex project accounting Supports more complex accounting areas with analysis and research like revenue recognition and warranties Creates journal entry for payroll and labor distribution. Financial analysis and reports Contribute to and support yearend audit process Design and perform internal audits Tax compliance. Prepare tax schedules for sales tax, quarterly estimates, and yearend reporting Support testing in ERP implementation project Partner with accounting team, learning each position’s responsibilities for backup Supervisory Responsibilities May review the teams work and provide directions (no direct reports) Position Requirements Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related areas. Minimum of three years of varied professional experience in accounting. Good working knowledge of GAAP, Microsoft Office (Advanced Excel skills), experience using an ERP system. Ability to lead meetings with various stakeholders. Ability to examine financial documents for completeness, accuracy, and conformance with established policies and procedures. Ability to independently solve problems. Ability to review the work of others, identify and correct errors. Ability to solve more complex accounting problems. Excellent communicator, attention to detail, team player. Ability to prioritize and work independently to manage your own schedule and deadlines. Demonstrated ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality. Experience working in manufacturing or government contracting is desirable but not required. Understanding of government contract accounting concepts like incurred cost model and Federal Acquisition Regulations desired but not required.
